named one of auckland's best vietnamese pho's

It’s official — Roll’d Vietnamese has been named one of Auckland’s best places for phở. We’ve been featured in Urban List’s “Where To Find Auckland’s Best Pho In 2026”, a Best Of round-up that carries the publication’s highest editorial stamp of approval.

Even sweeter: a bowl of Roll’d phở was chosen as the lead image for the entire feature, sitting proudly alongside some of Tāmaki Makaurau’s most-loved Vietnamese kitchens. For a brand that’s only recently crossed the Tasman, it’s a humbling nod from the local food community.

Every bowl of Roll’d phở traces back to Mama Hoang’s kitchen and the family recipe that started it all — the recipe of co-founder Bao Hoang’s mother. That recipe travelled from Vietnam to Australia, and now to Aotearoa. As Urban List put it, our phở is “a nod to both the clean flavours of Northern Vietnam and the punchy broths of South Vietnam”.

Founded in Melbourne in 2012 by Bao Hoang, Ray Esquieres and Tin Ly, Roll’d has grown to more than 125 stores and is one of Australia’s best-known Vietnamese fast-casual brands. The New Zealand rollout is led by Mammoth Brands, co-CEOs Duane Dalton and Chris Henderson, who also operate Pita Pit, EGG’D, BOWL’D and tuckr.

Come taste the broth that earned a spot on Auckland’s best pho list. We’ll see you there
